Leeds United's Liam Cooper
Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has had a frustrating spell on the sidelines this season, but stepped up to the plate at the weekend.
With Pontus Jansson surprisingly omitted from the starting XI against Brighton and Hove Albion, Cooper filled in admirably as Leeds kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 home win.
He was rewarded with an international call up for Scotland, as a replacement after players pulled out with injuries.

Cooper has been called up once before for Scotland but is yet to make his debut for his country. Prior to this past weekend Cooper has had a disappointing time this season, and when he has stepped in, has found it tricky.
Had his call come before the Brighton game it would have come a big shock, but he in some part went towards justifying his inclusion with his display. Leeds fans reacted well to his announcement, but he remains very much unheard of north of the border.
