The film star has given a sensible response when asked if Leeds United will crash the top two between now and May.

Leeds United are currently flying high in the Championship, with their 2-0 victory against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday taking them up to fourth in the table, just two points behind Huddersfield and eight clear of seventh-placed Fulham in the battle for a play-off place.

It is a run of form that has got Whites’ fans excited, including film star Russell Crowe.

The Australian has often made his feelings known about the goings on at Elland Road and he has kept it short and sensible when asked what he thinks of Leeds’ chances of finishing in the top two this season.

Writing on Twitter, Crowe said, “The only thing we have to focus on now is getting the win away this week…one game at a time.”

Unfortunately Leeds will not be able to build on their momentum as early as this week, with the international break meaning the Whites will not play again until April, when a tough away trip to Reading awaits.

But Crowe is right; Leeds need to focus solely on winning each game as it comes and, while it may be cliché, it should ultimately ensure they maintain their promotion push well into May.
