James Ward-Prowse halved the deficit for Southampton in the opening minutes of the second half.
Victor Wanyama featured for Tottenham in the game. The 25-year-old defensive midfielder joined Spurs from Southampton in the summer of 2016.
After the match, the Kenya international seemed to be quite friendly with Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster, while during the game, Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks clashed with Southampton’s Sofiane Boufal.
