Leeds United returned to winning ways in the Championship at the weekend. The Whites got the better of Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 at Elland Road on Saturday evening.

After a goalless first half, New Zealand international striker Chris Wood put the home team in the 63rd minute and added the second from the penalty spot five minutes from the full-time whistle.

The win against Brighton means that Leeds are now fourth in the Championship table with 69 points from 38 matches.

During the game against the Seagulls, the Elland Road faithful were in loud voice, and the Leeds players acknowledged their contribution, as the following pictures suggest.

Leeds still have a small chance of finishing in the top two of the Championship this season, but for now, they must remain focused on clinching a playoff spot.

The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Reading away from home at the Madejski Stadium in the Championship after the international break.
