More Rangers than Celtic players in Chris Sutton’s Team of the Weekend

Ibrox outfit Glasgow Rangers and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has picked as many as three Rangers players in his Scottish Premiership Team of the Weekend, as posted on his official Twitter page.

Rangers midfielder Emerson Hyndman, signed on loan from Premier League club Bournemouth in the January transfer window, centre-back Clint Hill and left-back Lee Wallace find themselves in the former Celtic striker’s team.

Sutton has also included Celtic central defender Jozo Simunovic and midfielder Stuart Armstrong in his team.

Rangers won 4-0 against Hamilton Academical at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, while Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic got the better of Dundee 2-1 away from home at Dens Park on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 83 points from 29 matches.

Rangers currently find themselves third in the standings with 50 points from 29 matches, eight points behind second-placed Aberdeen.

The Gers will take on Motherwell at Ibrox in the league after the international break, while Celtic will face Heart of Midlothian away from home.
