Harry Redknapp has told Premier League Tonight, which was broadcast on BT Sport on 18th March, that he would sell Everton striker Romelu Lukaku for the sort of money that is being talked about.

Lukaku has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park, with his current contract set to run down.

The Belgian international has hinted that he won’t sign a new contract at Everton, and now a huge amount of clubs are monitoring the situation.

Lukaku has been linked with a mega money move to a number of Europe’s elite clubs, with Everton facing a real battle to keep hold of their star striker.

It is understood that Everton are still eager to keep hold of Lukaku, but Redknapp believes that the time has come to cash in on the powerful forward.

“I’ll be honest, if somebody offered me £70 million for Lukaku I’d sell him tomorrow,” Redknapp said.

Lukaku’s current contract at Everton expires at the end of next season, meaning the Toffees may have to sell, if the striker doesn’t commit his future to the Merseyside club.

Lukaku has netted 21 Premier League goals already this season, which puts him at the top of the division’s scoring charts.

Lukaku’s good form has helped Everton sustain a challenge for a European place this season, with Ronald Koeman’s side currently in seventh place in the Premier League table.
