Leeds United beat Brighton 2-0 on Saturday, thanks to two goals from Chris Wood.
Chris Wood of Leeds United scores against Brighton
Pundit Chris Iwelumo has told Channel 5's The Championship that he thinks Leeds United star Chris Wood can play at a higher level.
The Whites took on second-placed Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday evening, with Leeds looking for a crucial three points that would take them ever closer to sealing a play-off spot.
Garry Monk got just what he wanted, as Leeds went in front in the second half, with Chris Wood sending a looping header into the corner of the net from Charlie Taylor's left-wing cross.
Wood made it two from the penalty spot late on after Souleymane Doukara had been fouled by Fikayo Tomori, handing Leeds a superb 2-0 victory.
Those two goals now take Wood onto 24 league goals this season and 27 in all competitions, making him Leeds' biggest goal threat by some way, and the Championship's leading goalscorer this term.
After a hot-and-cold debut season at Elland Road last season, Wood has thrived under Garry Monk this term, with one pundit raving about his performances.
Leeds United's Chris Wood celebrates scoring against Brighton
Chris Iwelumo, speaking after Leeds' 2-0 win over Brighton, told Channel 5's The Championship that he feels Wood can definitely play in the Premier League as he has everything in his locker, including the ability to hold the ball up.
Iwelumo also suggested that Wood's conversion rate of 59% is 'outstanding', though did add that the service he has received this season has been 'excellent'.
"He can play at a higher level, without doubt," said Iwelumo. "He's having a great season, he scores all different types of goals, he's got good hold-up play - he's the full player for me. The service he's getting has been excellent, but 59% of the chances he gets, he puts in the back of the net? That's outstanding," he added.
