Everton ran out comfortable winners against Hull City this weekend but not all their players were praised for their efforts.

Everton may have won 4-0 against Hull City on Saturday but that does not mean all their players were exempt from criticism.

The Toffees were forced into a first-half change when January signing Morgan Schneiderlin came off injured to be replaced by Gareth Barry and the veteran midfielder’s contribution was not to everyone’s liking.

Barry played for an hour against the Tigers, with Everton building on an early strike from Dominic Calvert-Lewin to run out 4-0 winners with further goals from Enner Valencia and a Romelu Lukaku brace, but some Toffees fans felt it was more despite Barry’s presence than because of it.

The 36-year-old has played 26 matches for Everton this season but despite being one of manager Ronald Koeman’s regular picks, it seems the fans have other ideas.
