Leeds United boss Garry Monk is said to be on the lookout for a new striker...
Toulouse forward Martin Braithwaite has shown a surprisingly exceptional knowledge of Leeds United on Twitter.
Braithwaite tweeted Leeds, after spotting a peacock in his back garden yesterday, proving that he knows about the Yorkshire’s side’s lesser used nickname.
Leeds were regularly called ‘The Peacocks’ back in 1970’s, but are generally known as the Whites now.
And Braithwaite’s excellent knowledge about Leeds, has got some optimistic fans calling for Garry Monk to sign the striker.
For Leeds to have any chance of signing Braithwaite, they are likely to need to earn promotion to the Premier League.
The Danish international has already been linked with the likes of Sunderland and West Ham United this season (Daily Mail).
Braithwaite has scored 11 goals in 27 appearances for Toulouse this season, across all French domestic competitions.
Leeds are currently in fourth place in the Championship table, and look to have a good chance of securing a play off spot.
