Pundits predict: Arsenal v Lincoln City - A shock on the cards?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger

Arsenal take on Lincoln in the FA Cup Sixth Round, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Arsenal 3-0 Lincoln City

It would just be cruel on Arsene Wenger to lose this one surely? Lincoln's story has been a great one, but like Sutton in the last round, a step up against Arsenal will be one challenge too many.

Arsenal 2-0 Lincoln City

Make no mistake, this is far from an ideal game for under-fire Arsene Wenger. Yet, like against Sutton, Arsenal’s class should eventually shine through against rugged, determined non-league opponents.

Alfie Potts-Harmer

Arsenal 4-0 Lincoln City

It is typical of Arsenal to falter against top teams such as Bayern Munich and be flat-track bully when it comes to lowly opposition such as Lincoln. The Gunners will most likely play an expansive game at home to the non-league side, and should pick them off with ease. If the match reaches the half hour mark without a goal, the Emirates could start to get a bit twitchy, but it's hard to see the Imps holding firm for 90 minutes.

Vincent Ralph

Arsenal 6-0 Lincoln City

Arsenal are smarting after their Champions League humiliation against Bayern Munich and they will want to take that out on their FA Cup opponents. Unfortunately for Lincoln, Arsene Wenger is in no mood for a giant-killing and should go strong to ensure that does not happen.

Che Thomas

Arsenal 4-0 Lincoln City

This is a very different game than Arsenal experienced in the last round. The Gunners were away in that fixture, but were mostly in control despite a couple of nervy moments. Wenger, smarting from the manner of the Bayern defeat, will play a strong side, and they should comprehensively dispatch Lincoln on home turf.

Arsenal 2-0 Lincoln City

Arsenal's players have plenty to prove after their Champions League humiliation and should bounce back against the National League side, although I suspect it won't be as easy as it looks on paper.
