Regardless of which division they are in next season, Benik Afobe should be a priority for Leeds United.
Leeds United players celebrate after the match
Chris Wood’s outstanding form for Leeds this season has no doubt caught the eye of Premier League sides, but rather than try and fend off bids, the club’s focus should be on signing an alternative.
Leeds failed to do so in January, and in the summer bringing in another striker should be more of a priority than ever before.
An ideal addition would be Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe, who has been out of favour in recent weeks.
Afobe has made only six starts for the Cherries this season, with his last goal coming back in January.

Afobe is a proven goalscorer at Championship level, netting 22 goals in 43 starts for Wolves, earning a big money move to the Premier League.
The former Arsenal trainee would provide competition for Chris Wood, and also valuable insurance in case Leeds were susceptible to a huge bid from a Premier League team.
If Leeds are successful in their promotion chase, Afobe could be even more of an asset, with Premier League experience under his belt already.
He has netted seven times for the Cherries in the top flight in limited opportunities, and will be determined to prove his worth when he makes his next move.
