Just when you thought Bellusci’s temper could not get any worse. Thankfully, he’s not Leeds United’s problem anymore.

When you consider the fact that Giuseppe Bellusci copped 25 bookings and a couple of red cards in an ‘eventful’ two year spell with Leeds United, perhaps it’s no surprise to learn he’s no longer merely taking out his fury on the ankles of opposition forwards.
Booked for the twelfth time this season, more than any other player in Serie A, during Empoli’s 2-0 home defeat to Genoa, the Leeds loanee and the rest of his underperforming team-mates were greeted with a chorus of boos from their disgruntled ‘supporters’, Il Tirreno report.
The result means Empoli are now just one place above the bottom three in Italy’s top flight. In fact, if Palermo, Pescara and Crotone had not been so horrifically poor, the eight point gap between 17th and the relegation zone would be a lot tighter.
Yet, that did not stop the fans voicing their displeasure after a 15th league defeat of the season with Bellusci again struggling at the heart of the backline. And, according to Il Tirreno, the 27-year-old took exception to one supporter in particular, confronting him after the final whistle.
Now this is unlikely to mean Bellusci returns to Elland Road with his tail between his legs. It’s just that he might not be offered a way out by Empoli either if he carries on at this rate.
