The successes of Jamie Vardy and Andre Gray at Premier League level have underlined the talent that can be found in non-league football.

Another potential coup could be on the horizon this summer with Histon's Matty Allan attracting serious attention from Premier League and Championship sides.

The 19-year-old attacker is in form for the Cambridgeshire side, and has netted 16 goals from the wing already this season.

HITC Sport understands Crystal Palace and Norwich City scouts have been on the scouting lists at recent Histon games and it is believed it is Matty Allan they have been watching.

Allan is on a part-time contract at the club and currently stands to become a free agent at the end of the season.

The skilful forward has risen through the ranks at Histon to play a prominent role for their first team this season, and his form has top level sides taking note. Allan can play out on the wing or as a central striker.

Last season Crystal Palace swooped on non-league Margate Town to sign striker Freddie Ladapo after a successful trial spell.
