Lasse Vibe knows the player from international duty with Denmark.
Lasse Vibe of Brentford
The controversial striker joined Norwegian champions Rosenborg on a three-year deal yesterday after a difficult time with form and fitness at the City Ground.
That means he will not be facing off against Vibe in the Championship clash tonight.
Speaking to getwestlondon the Brentford striker spoke in high esteem of the former Arsenal striker, who he knows from their time together with the Danish national team:
“If I'm being honest, he's one of the best big, technical strikers holding up the ball. I've played with him for Denmark and he's always scored goals.
“He's a very good player. He's a funny lad and a good character. I remember the first time I met him, he was very funny and very open. I liked him straight away. He's a good lad.”
Nottingham Forest substitute Nicklas Bendtner
Bendtner showed sparks of his obvious ability at the start of his Forest spell. Unfortunately, he soon found himself struggling for fitness and, as a consequence, first-team football.
He played just 17 games for the club, scoring just two goals and Forest fans are unlikely to be overly disappointed with his departure.
But Vibe is clearly gutted he won’t get a chance to face off against his countryman in the Championship this evening.
