Rangers lost 2-1 away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Friday evening.

Rangers’ woes continued on Friday evening as they were beaten 2-1 away at Inverness Caledonian Thistle – and fans have slammed midfielder Jon Toral.
The Gers lost 2-1 at Dundee last weekend as they continue to struggle even after Mark Warburton’s departure, and the uncertainty over the club’s managerial situation appears to be having a real impact.
Rangers fell behind at Inverness on the stroke of half time as Greg Tansey whipped a superb long-range strike into the corner of the net, but Martyn Waghorn equalised from the penalty spot after Lee Wallace had been fouled.
Rangers then saw Wes Foderingham save Iain Vigurs’ penalty to keep the score at 1-1, but Foderingham was beaten late on as Billy Mckay’s acrobatic effort looped into the net in the dying embers of the game.
It’s now four defeats in the last six games for Rangers, who appear to be lacking direction as the club continue to ponder who will replace Warburton as manager.
Jon Toral
A number of Gers players again struggled in Friday’s defeat, and loanee Jon Toral continues to receive criticism for his performances since joining the club on loan from Arsenal last month.
The Spaniard missed a great chance in the second half, driving the ball wide when played in on goal, and was slammed by fans after the final whistle who called for him to be sent back to Arsenal already.
Others tore into caretaker manager Graeme Murty, who – as quoted by The Scotsman – suggested that Toral was one of the best players on the pitch, with some wondering how he’s even on the books at Arsenal.
