Manchester United head to France on Wednesday for the second leg of their Europa League last 32 clash with St Etienne.

Jose Mourinho’s side have a clear advantage heading into the game after Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s hat-trick secured a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford earlier this month.

With the EFL Cup final on the horizon, and the matches coming thick and fast, United are likely to rest some of their key players for this encounter while still going strong enough to ensure their healthy lead is not at risk of being overturned.

United are without Wayne Rooney and Phil Jones while Timothy Fosu-Mensah has a minor knock but is rated at 75 per cent to be ready if called upon.

The likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ander Herrera will surely be rested to ensure they are fit and firing for the match against Southampton but there could be a surprise start for Paul Pogba as he returns to his homeland.

With that in mind here is how we expect the two sides to line up on Wednesday evening:

  • Stéphane Ruffier
  • Kévin Malcuit
  • Loïc Perrin
  • Florentin Pogba
  • Kévin Théophile-Catherine
  • Romain Hamouma
  • Vincent Pajot

  • Jordan Veretout
  • Jorginho
  • Kévin Monnet-Paquet

Man Utd predicted lineup

  • Marcos Rojo
  • Luke Shaw
  • Chris Smalling
  • Marouane Fellaini
  • Jesse Lingard
  • Juan Mata
  • Paul Pogba
  • Bastian Schweinsteiger
