Inter Milan coach Frank de Boer
Glasgow Rangers are considering appointing Frank de Boer as manager this summer, the Daily Record reported this week.
De Boer played for Rangers briefly in 2004 and has an impressive managerial career in Holland with Ajax under his belt, even if his spell at Inter Milan like so many others before him was short lived.
De Boer even has a track record of beating Celtic as a manager, and should consider making a move for a player who was key to that success.
Danish winger Lasse Schone scored the winner for Ajax against Celtic in 2013 in a 1-0 victory, and also netted a vital equaliser in a 2-2 draw in 2015 against the club.
Schone, 30, is an affordable option for Rangers, he is set to become a free agent this summer when his contract expires.
De Boer sanctioned the deal to bring him to Ajax in 2012 from NEC Nijmegen on a free, and Schone has been a very worthy addition.
Lasse Schone celebrates
He has played more than 130 games for Ajax, netting in excess of 40 goals and winning two league titles.
This season he has netted seven goals and provided five assists, demonstrating he is still very much a goal threat, and could thrive playing in Scotland.
Schone is a Danish international with 27 caps to his name and would add real quality to the Rangers squad, along with big match experience.
He is exactly the type of player Rangers need if they are to get closer to Celtic next season, and Schone won't be daunted by the challenge.
