Steve Bruce will have a lot of work to do with his Aston Villa squad in the summer.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is heading to Old Trafford tonight to watch Manchester United's Europa League tie against Saint Etienne, according to the Birmingham Mail, with the primary reason for his scouting mission being Villa-owned Jordan Veretout, who is spending the season on loan with United's opponents tonight.
After he made his £8 million move to the club in the summer of 2015, the 23-year-old midfielder endured a woeful campaign with Villa last season, which eventually ended in relegation to the Championship.
The Frenchman hasn't exactly been pulling up any trees in Ligue 1 with Saint Etienne this season either, contributing with just three goals and two assists in 28 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Bruce, however, is obviously keen on giving Veretout the once over in the flesh, as he begins to make plans for next season already, and the Birmingham Mail claims that the Villa boss will consider bringing him back to the club in the summer, if he is impressed by what he sees.
Veretout will have his work cut-out if he is to impress Bruce tonight though, with Jose Mourinho's Manchester United currently one of Europe's in-form sides.
