Video: Derby County fans debate playoff winners

Leeds' Luke Ayling clashes with Derby's Richard Keogh as Will Hughes and Leeds' Ronaldo Vieira look on

Leeds United and Derby County are just two of the clubs in the mix for the Championship playoffs.

As the race for promotion to the Premier League continues to hot up almost every week, six teams still remain within the mix for a place in this year's play-off final at Wembley. After tremendous seasons, and many under new managers, Reading, Huddersfield Town, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich City and Derby County are all in with a chance of making it to the promised land of the Premier League.

But who will get their hands on that coveted play-off final trophy? This year's Championship has arguably been the most difficult to call this season, with so many teams potentially in the running. So, HITC Sport went to speak to Derby County fans, to get their views and opinions on the play-off race...

"One more will sneak in" said one Derby County fan, "but whether or not it will be us, I don't know." Another more confident Derby fan however said "obviously it's either Derby, or maybe Reading."

"It's a lottery" added another Derby fan, who was clearly sobered by his club's failings in the play-offs in the past. Another Derby fan also added, when talking about their play-off final defeat to QPR, "sometimes I'm glad we didn't go up, because the Championship is a much more exciting league than the Premier League. Anybody can beat anybody in the Championship, it's one of the most exciting divisions in the world."

Many Derby fans thoughts were also pointed towards Leeds United, with one fan suggesting they're likely to "make the final but lose." Another Derby County fan added that "Leeds United are a big club, but only in Leeds. We played there a few weeks ago and the big main stand was more empty than full."

Another Derby fan also added "I think if Villa don't go up this season, they'll stay down like Leeds have for a while. I just think Villa's demise from the Premier League could be too much and if they don't bounce back, they could take a lot of time to rebuild.
