Ayoze Perez (R) celebrates scoring the first goal for Newcastle United
Newcastle United hero Micky Quinn has taken to Twitter to react to the club's 2-2 draw away at Norwich City on Tuesday night.
The Magpies were looking for another victory having beaten Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 on Saturday evening, and got off to a perfect start against Norwich with Ayoze Perez scoring the opener after just 23 seconds.
However, Rafael Benitez's men were guilty of committing errors in the first half, with Jamaal Lascelles being punished for a stumble as Cameron Jerome crossed for Jacob Murphy to tap home from close range.
Karl Darlow then committed a huge mistake, rushing off his line to volley the ball clear, only to slice the ball behind himself, allowing Jerome to tap home to put Norwich in front.
Newcastle did get an equaliser in the second half though, as Lascelles volleyed the ball home for 2-2, making amends for his earlier mistake.
With Brighton only drawing 1-1 at home with Ipswich Town, Newcastle remain one point clear at the top of the Championship table, and Lascelles' equaliser means that the Magpies are now six games unbeaten.
Promotion continues to look likely for Newcastle, and former pundit and ex-Newcastle striker Micky Quinn took to Twitter after the final whistle on Tuesday to react to the result.
Quinn celebrated Newcastle getting four points from two tricky away games, and admitted his love for the club on Valentine's Day.
