Michael Owen hits out at Arsenal performance.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
Michael Owen has hit out at Arsenal's Champions League defeat - insisting he is not surprised.
The Gunners lost 5-1 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, for the second season in a row.
Owen is a long standing critic of Arsenal, and said the result shows he was right all along about their soft core, and Mesut Ozil.
Funny how all the experts are now criticising Ozil for the exact things I highlighted 2 years ago. #aftertimers— michael owen (@themichaelowen) February 15, 2017
No change there but they may now realise that I was right all along. Arsenal are soft and have been for a long time. https://t.co/4jNEY5yRZQ— michael owen (@themichaelowen) February 15, 2017
Arsenal had been level at half-time but fell apart after Laurent Koscielny went off injured.
Arjen Robben, Robert Lewandowski, Thiago Alcantara (2) and Thomas Muller completed the rout, with Alexis Sanchez scoring just before the break.

In the second half the Gunners barely had a kick, and the tie now seems over heading into the second leg at The Emirates.
It is Arsenal's third defeat in their last four games and now the Gunners have to face non-league side Sutton United in the FA Cup this weekend.
Pressure had already been piling onto Arsene Wenger, and the Frenchman could be in for a difficult few months to end the season, at risk of finishing out of the top four for the first time.
