Leeds United won against Bristol City in the Championship on Tuesday evening.
The former Leeds striker was following the Championship game between the Whites and City at Elland Road.
Sacko started game for the home team and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Garry Monk’s side registered a 2-1 victory.
“We see the good and the bad with Sacko every single game but he brings so much energy down the flanks when he links up with others,” Whelan told BBC Sport. “He was so influential tonight.”
“Sacko is not the overall player, I understand that - he'd be worth £20 million otherwise,” added Whelan. “We’ve seen his decision-making let him down sometimes - you don't mind players taking a shot as long as they make the keeper work. But he does amazing things on the wings.”

Sacko, who is 22 years of age and joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2016, is a good player and has done quite well for the Whites so far this season.
The former France Under-20 international winger is very young and is still not the finished article, but in the coming years he could become a top-quality footballer.
