According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo (Press Reader), Wolverhampton Wanderers are hoping to snap up Rio Ave centre back Roderick Miranda.
Since the Fosun Group took over the club last summer, super agent Jorge Mendes has been working closely with Wolves, helping them land a host of new signings.
A number of Portuguese players have arrived at Molineux, with full back Silvio as well as winger Helder Costa and Ivan Cavaleiro all signing for Wolves, whilst Joao Teixeira joined last summer, only to be moved on to Nottingham Forest in January.
Despite limited success this season, Wolves could look to raid Portuguese football again, with fans no doubt hoping for another success story after Costa's superb showings at Molineux.
Now, Portuguese newspaper O Jogo (Press Reader) report that Wolves are interested in signing Rio Ave centre back Roderick Miranda at the end of the season.
Miranda, 25, was highly-rated during his time with Benfica, racking up 45 appearances for Portugal at various youth level, but he played just seven times for Benfica.
Now with Rio Ave, the centre back stands at nearly 6ft 4in tall, and possesses great strength and aerial ability, meaning he could be an alternative target to Richard Stearman, who is only on loan from Fulham.
The report adds that Chinese and French teams are also keen on Miranda, meaning that Wolves may have to move quickly to land him, but with such a strong Portuguese contingent already at the club, they may be confident of making Miranda their latest Portuguese rescruit.
