Manchester United's Anthony Martial comes on as a substitute to replace Wayne Rooney

Manchester United continue to battle on four fronts as they return to Europa League action this week.

Jose Mourinho’s side take on French club St Etienne in the first knockout round of Europe’s second competition and with the first leg at Old Trafford they will be desperate to build up a comfortable lead before a tricky away tie later this month.

In early team news, United are without Phil Jones due to a foot injury while Timothy Fosu-Mensah is a minor doubt with a knock but has a 75 per cent chance of being fit if called upon.

It will be interesting to see just how strong United are on Thursday evening, given that their next Premier League game is weeks away and they have a FA Cup fifth round tie against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
