Arsenal fans react to Francis Coquelin's performance in 2-0 win over Hull

Arsenal's Francis Coquelin is substituted after sustaining an injury

Arsenal and Hull City went head-to-head this weekend.

Arsenal secured an important 2-0 victory at home to Hull City on Saturday, with Chile international Alexis Sanchez finding the net twice.

Hull have been in impressive form since Marco Silva replaced Mike Phelan at the helm, but Arsenal were simply too good for the Tigers as they took advantage of Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to move level on points with their North London rivals.

While a number of Arsenal players impressed, midfielder Francis Coquelin struggled to make his mark on the match in the centre of the field, outshone by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin.

Coquelin continues to be a figure of derision among many Gunners fans and some feel the time is right for the Frenchman to be dropped, with the likes of Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny ready and able to step up for the bigger challenges ahead.
