The Dutchman was linked with Leeds United in the summer.

During the summer Leeds United were heavily linked with the Dutch defender Tom Beugelsdijk.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds boss Garry Monk deployed scouts to check on Beugelsdijk in action for ADO Den Haag in August, and was ready to pursue a permanent deal for the 26-year-old.

The player himself confirmed in August, as reported by Soccer News, that Leeds United were keen:

"Leeds United were interested, but it did not happen.

“Look, you cannot play your whole life for the same club. Footballers, we have until we’re 35 to earn. If you can in England for such a big club? I'm not saying no too soon.”

He has now been speaking about his future yet again. The defender was discussing his career to VoetbalZone and admitted he would still be keen on a move to England, although China also tempts him:

“The only goal I have now is as soon as possible bring peace and security. It may just be that I'm playing here seven years or perhaps for a great competition going as England.

“It depends on what comes my way. On Voetbalzone you going every day a new face to China, perhaps to be called the new league."

Leeds however may rethink their interest. They signed both Kyle Bartley and Pontus Jansson on loan in the summer and the pair have been in fantastic form since their arrivals.

Jansson has now agreed to make his deal permanent and Leeds fans will be hoping the same about Bartley.

Meanwhile, Beugelsdijk has struggled to find his best from in Den Haag.

Perhaps Beugelsdijk will turn up in England somewhere, but Leeds seems an unlikelier destination then it did in the summer.
