3 time La Liga winner, 2 time Champions League winner, what happened with Bojan at Stoke City?

Stoke City have had another steady season so far under Mark Hughes, and despite being currently positioned right in the middle of the table, the Potters could well have a late push for a Euorpa League place.

Over the last two seasons, Mark Hughes has managed to bring in a number of big names to Stoke City. Top internationals such as Marko Arnautovic, Wilfried Bony, Bruno Martins Indi and Xherdan Shaqiri all now don the red and white shirt, but not all have been a success. One such name that hasn't quite done it on a cold and windy night at Stoke City, is former Barcelona and Ajax forward, Bojan.

After initially being touted as a success at the Bet 365 Stadium, Bojan fell out of Mark Hughes' side, and has now been let out on loan to FSV Mainz 05 for the rest of the season, after being linked with a move to Middlesbrough by various sources, such as the Guardian, throughout the summer. So what happened to the Spaniard? HITC Sport asked Stoke City fans for their views...

"Since he's come back from his injury, he's just not been the same" said one Stoke City fan, who seemed disappointed by Bojan's drop in form. The Potters fan also suggested that the purchase of Joe Allen, a player who fills the same role as Bojan, has had a big impact on the Spaniard.

Asked how he felt about Bojan's departure, another Stoke City fan said: "Mixed...he's a very technically good player but he just doesn't fit into the system we're playing. And where we've asked him to play I don't think he can play." Is it all down to Mark Hughes' tactics then? Or has Bojan become too glued to one position?
