Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce is looking to beef up his midfield before the deadline.
Crystal Palace have enquired about Lille’s Ibrahim Amadou after a move for Luka Milivojevic stalled, the Daily Mail reports.
Eagles boss Sam Allardyce is said to be desperate to strengthen his midfield before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, and appeared to have a deal in place for Olympiacos man Milivojevic.
According to the Daily Mail, Allardyce had turned to the Serbian having grown frustrated in his pursuit of Rubin Kazan’s Yann M’Vila, whom he managed at Sunderland last season.
And it is now being claimed that Amadou is next on his list of targets, although Lille are reportedly keen on extending the 23-year-old’s deal in the coming weeks.

Palace could face competition, however, with the Cameroonian’s agent revealing earlier this month that clubs in Germany and Spain are also chasing his client, of which one is said to be La Liga title contenders Sevilla.
Ironically, the Daily Mail reports the Andalusians are keen on Amadou as a possible replacement for Steven Nzonzi, who was first brought to English football by Allardyce, then of Blackburn Rovers, in 2009.

Palace sold captain Mile Jedinak to Aston Villa in August, signing free agent Mathieu Flamini as the Australian’s successor.
Would Amadou be a good signing for Crystal Palace?
