Things are finally starting to look up for West Ham United.

The Hammers have managed to turn their season around in recent weeks, and produced another fantastic display during their 3-1 win at Middlesbrough on Saturday, but Aaron Cresswell explained to the club’s official website how there was one thing that disappointed him during their victory.

Slaven Bilic’s men now sit in 10th position in the Premier League table, just eight points adrift of the final Europa League spot currently occupied by Everton, and there is a feeling at the club that they can now make a genuine push for the top seven.

With the Dimitri Payet saga still rumbling on in the background, the West Ham squad seem to be more united than have been all season long.

And Cresswell spoke to WHUFC.com about their impressive win at the Riverside on Saturday, suggesting that the victory should have been even more comfortable than it eventually turned out to be:

“We played some good stuff in the first half on Saturday and, in some ways, it was disappointing not to score more than two. That said, Andy scored just before half-time, which always helps, and then we managed to get the third goal late on and kill the game off.”

The Hammers will now be looking to build upon their recent revival, and begin their climb up the table.

They have to wait until Wednesday night for their next game though – a home match against Manchester City, who recently beat them 5-0 at the Olympic Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup.
