Manchester City’s Fabian Delph has been linked with both Leeds United and Newcastle United in January.

Fabian Delph has cooled rumours that he could be set to leave Manchester City this month, as per his comments to the Daily Mirror.

Delph has been linked with Championship duo Leeds United and Newcastle United recently (TeamTalk and Daily Mirror).

However, the England international appears to have suggested that he has no desire to leave City this month.

“A couple of mates have said to me, ‘You’ve been linked with X, Y and Z’ but I’ve not given it any thought. I’m happy here,” Delph said.

“I’m obviously fit again and available for selection so I can get some more minutes and help the team to push on. I love it here. I’m working with the best players in the world, great management, great staff around me and I’m very, very happy here.”

Team Talk have suggested that Delph would be willing to move back to Leeds, if Garry Monk’s side could do a deal.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are known to be looking at loan deals, and reportedly felt that City may have been willing to agree to let Delph join them until the end of the season.

Delph has struggled for game time ever since moving to City from Aston Villa, with injury thwarting his progress.

The 27-year-old has made just five appearances since Pep Guardiola took charge, although he did feature as a late substitute in City’s last match against Tottenham Hotspur.
