As Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to be linked with a number of players, it's time to look at the main focus they should have.
Many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been speculating as to who exactly they're going to bring in during the January transfer window. Some big names have been thrown around in addition to some younger talent, but when it comes down to it there's really only one man that the club need to be focused on securing for the immediate future.
That man, of course, is Helder Costa. The on-loan star from Benfica has lit up Molineux since arriving at the club and despite taking a few games to get going, the attacking midfielder has now firmly solidified himself as a first team starter.

That in itself is a difficult thing to do at Wolves days given the constant chopping and changing of the first team. Alas, rotation is not a word that features into Costa's dictionary as his skill, vision and ability to make what he's doing seem effortless has been a huge breath of fresh air for supporters of the Midlands side.

It's for that reason, of course, that the words "on loan" make fans feel particularly uneasy. Costa is by far the most naturally talented player in the squad, and he's still so young in comparison to when he could hit his prime in a few years time. In Wolves can begin negotiations now to secure a full time deal by the summer, it would be one of the biggest moments in the club's recent history and that's not an exaggeration.
Eight goals and five assists in 26 appearances so far this season speaks for itself, and you can already tell that Helder is making a strong connection with the fanbase. At Benfica he'd likely just be another name, so Wolves should throw all the money they can at the Portuguese club in order to get their man.
