Video: Will the Clarets stay up? - Burnley fans on survival chances

Burnley manager Sean Dyche

With Burnley having amassed 23 points from their opening 20 league games this season, is Sean Dyche about to secure their top-flight status for another campaign?

Currently sitting 12th in the table, Burnley have had an excellent start on their return to the Premier League. After investing well in the summer, bringing in the likes of Belgium midfielder Steven Defour and Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick, as well as managing to keep hold of prize assets Micheal Keane and Andre Grey, Burnley are looking in good shape as they head into what will be a tough 2017.

But will they stay up? With the mega money that goes into Premier League clubs these days, Burnley could struggle to compete for players in this window; a factor which may prove to be influentially come the end of the season.

With this in mind, HITC Sport asked Burnley fans for their thoughts on their club's so far impressive season.

When asked if they thought Sean Dyche could keep them up this season, plenty of Burnley fans replied adamantly "yes". There's clearly a feel-good feeling going around Turf Moor at the moment, from the fans to the playing staff. "There's nothing [Sean Dyche] can't do!" replied another.

"If you're a supporter of a club that's managed by Sean Dyche, you have confidence" suggested one Burnley fan, who was clear in his mind about who the big factor in Burnley's season is. Another suggested that he just needed to be given "that bit of backing" to keep Burnley up.
