Tyler Walker has thanked Stevenage on Twitter for providing him with the chance to play first-team football.
Thank you to everyone @StevenageFC for the opportunity they gave me! I really enjoyed my time there and wish the club all the best— Tyler Walker (@tylerjandrew1) January 12, 2017
Walker was set to spend the rest of the season on loan at Stevenage, but Nottingham Forest have recalled the young striker.
The Reds have decided that Walker is better off at the City Ground than out on loan.
And Stevenage fans seem hugely disappointed to see Walker leave to rejoin Forest.
@tylerjandrew1 one day I will watch you on match of e day and I can turn to the person next to me and say he played for the boro he did— Richard Collins (@richcol99) January 12, 2017
Walker made nine appearances for Stevenage during his time on loan, and scored four times.
The youngster missed a sizeable chunk of the season with injury, but he has featured in Stevenage’s last three matches.
At Forest, Walker will be in competition with the likes of Britt Assombalonga and Nicklas Bendtner for a place up-front.
Forest are struggling badly in the Championship, and need a spark to fire them up the table.
The Reds currently occupy 20th spot in the second tier, with their next match coming against Birmingham City.
