Tottenham transfer news: Clement confirms Carroll talks; Spurs relaxed over Alli; Bernardeschi latest

General view of White Hart Lane

A specific round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Swansea City manager Paul Clement has been speaking to reporters about his club’s interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Carroll, with his comments published in the South Wales Evening Post.

Carroll has barely featured for Tottenham this season and following claims he could move to the Liberty Stadium, Clement said, “There’s an interest there…the clubs are in talks.”

That is good news for a player who has fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane and who has previously enjoyed a loan spell at the Swans.

In other news, the Daily Mail reports that the Tottenham hierarchy is not concerned by Real Madrid’s interest in man-of-the-moment Dele Alli.

The England international is in blistering form for Spurs and that has allegedly attracted interest from the La Liga giants.

However the Mail claims Tottenham do not believe an offer is heading their way any time soon.

And finally, reported Tottenham target Federico Bernardeschi has been speaking to Corriere Dello Sport after the London Evening Standard linked Spurs with a move.

“I’m fine with Fiorentina,” he is quoted as saying, “and I think only about the present.”

With the midway point of January fast approaching, Tottenham fans will be hopeful that a deal or two can still be done before the window slams shut once again.
