Dedryck Boyata has played just once for Brendan Rodgers' Celtic side so far this season.

According to a report in the Daily Record, Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has interest from English clubs.

Anderlecht had been most keen to sign the Belgian centre-back in January, with Celtic looking to offload him.

However, the 26-year-old is said to be keen to move to England and he may well get his wish.

The Record claim that a number of clubs from south of the border have an interest in signing the former Manchester City man.

Boyata has slipped down the pecking order at Celtic, following the arrival of Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers has demanded that his Celtic side play with a possession based approach, and Boyata has not suited his style.

The no-nonsense defender is now set to leave Glasgow in the next few weeks, with Celtic hopeful of a deal being concluded.

Boyata has made just one appearance for Celtic this season, back in November against Kilmarnock.
