Pulis provides underwhelming transfer update; possible exits on the cards at West Brom?

West Bromwich Albion are expected to be busy in the transfer market this month.

Speaking to reporters during his pre-match press conference, Baggies boss Tony Pulis provided a transfer update, insisting that he is still desperate to bring new faces into the Hawthorns over the duration of this month, but also admitted that there could be more exits, following the loan departure of Craig Gardner, as quoted by the Express & Star.

West Brom missed out on many of their primary transfer targets in the summer, and Pulis is obviously keen to rectify that, by bringing in some top quality additions this month.

His side have performed superbly so far this season, however, and have far exceeded their expectations.

They currently sit in eighth position in the Premier League table, but Pulis informed the media of his intentions to bolster his options this month, as quoted by the Express & Star:

"It would be nice if we could bring a few in. Obviously with Craig going out, and one or two others might go out, you look at our squad and we have to bring a few in. We’re very disappointed we missed out on Schneiderlin, but he’s picked Everton for all sorts of reasons. We just move on, try and get the players in that we need."

Baggies fans will be feeling as though it's a case of deja vu, after their club's exploits in the transfer market last summer, but they are in the strange position whereby their club is actually performing well on the pitch, so it is hard to criticise Pulis, or indeed any of the West Brom hierarchy.

Next up for the Baggies is a trip to north London to take on Spurs in the Premier League on Saturday.
