Ahead of Manchester United's clash with Liverpool in the Premier League this Sunday, HITC Sport has put together what a current dream XI made up of players from the two clubs may look like...
GK: David De Gea
The Spaniard remains in excellent form this season, while Jurgen Klopp has been unable to fully rely on either Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet. The former's performance against Southampton would surely see him take a place on the combined XI's bench though.
RB: Nathaniel Clyne
Antonio Valencia may perhaps feel unlucky not to be included in the line-up given that he continues to put in solid displays for Jose Mourinho's side. In fairness to Clyne, he has contributed two assists in the top flight, while his rival has made none.
CB: Phil Jones
Jones appears to be becoming the defender that many expected him to become when he moved to Old Trafford a few years ago. His recent form has been incredibly impressive, and United have kept five clean sheets in the last seven games he has played.
CB: Dejan Lovren
Liverpool's Dejan Lovren
Another player who has proved their critics wrong this term is Dejan Lovren. He has looked a lot more assured this year, and provides an attacking threat, having scored twice in the league.
LB: James Milner
Despite boasting little experience of the role before this season, James Milner has adapted to playing at left-back tremendously well. He has been solid and reliable this term.
DM: Jordan Henderson
The Reds captain has been excellent providing the stability and control that has allowed Klopp to get several attacking-minded players into his team.
DM: Paul Pogba
Manchester United's Paul Pogba
The Frenchman has taken virtually no time to settle following his summer return to Old Trafford. His four goals and three assists highlights how he is not afraid to get forward and offer plenty of support in attack.
RW: Sadio Mane
Speaking of players who have taken no time to settle, Sadio Mane has been a revelation at Anfield this season. His nine goals makes him Liverpool's top scorer so they will undoubtedly miss him this weekend.
CAM: Adam Lallana
Liverpool's Adam Lallana
The reason that the Reds have been able to cope without Philippe Coutinho over the last few weeks has been the form of Adam Lallana. The Englishman is flying this term, with seven league goals and seven assists.
LW: Henrikh Mkhitaryan
After a slow start, Mkhitaryan is starting to really find his feet in England. His goal against Sunderland showed just how much class he has, and it may take a goal of similar quality to separate the two teams this weekend.
ST: Zlatan Ibrahimovic
If anyone still doubts whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic has still got the quality that previously made him one of Europe's best strikers, his form this season has put those doubts to bed completely. He has scored 13 times, and is surely a contender for bargain signing of the season.
What would your combined team look like?
