The Leeds United midfielder is not in his manager’s plans.
Leeds United manager Garry Monk has been speaking to Radio Yorkshire about his midfielder Toumani Diagouraga.
The 29-year-old has featured only once since Monk took charge at Elland Road – back on the opening weekend when the Whites crashed to a 3-0 defeat away to Queens Park Rangers.
Since then he has slipped quickly out of the reckoning, having to make do with appearances for Leeds’ under-23s while he waited for the chance to move on.

With the January transfer window upon us that is now a distinct possibility, but it remains to be seen if anyone will take a punt on the former Brentford man considering his lack of game time in the last few months.
“The best thing for him is to move but I’m not too sure what options he has or what the likelihood of that happening will be,” Monk told Radio Yorkshire.

“Of course Toumani is an experienced player, he’s a good player, I’m sure he’ll be wanting to make that move just as Murph (Luke Murphy) has done in the last week and get himself into a situation where he’s playing games.”
Monk’s honesty is refreshing and it is clear he will not stand in the way of a player who is not in his plans.
Now it is up to another club to make their move, allowing Diagouraga to get back to doing what attracted Leeds’ interest in the first place.
