Leeds United beat Cambridge United 2-1 in the FA Cup on Monday evening.

Leeds United are in the fourth round of the FA Cup after beating Cambridge United 2-1 at the Abbey Stadium on Monday evening.

The Whites watched on over the weekend as the third round played out, and already knew that a win over League Two side Cambridge would hand them a fourth round tie against either AFC Wimbledon or Sutton United.

However, their hopes of reaching the fourth round were dented when Uche Ikpeazu gave Cambridge a first half lead, putting Shaun Derry's side 45 minutes away from a major cup upset.

Leeds, who sit fifth in the Championship table, did hit back in the second half though, with Stuart Dallas and Alex Mowatt both scoring to hand Leeds a 2-1 victory.

Manager Garry Monk will be delighted to have come through such a tricky game, and the attention will now turn to Friday's Championship clash with Derby County.

Below are some of the best images from Monday's game, showing Ikpeazu's opener and Pontus Jansson's battle with Cambridge ace Luke Berry.

The images also showed the celebrations of Leeds goalscorers Dallas and Mowatt, whose delighted was apparent as they found the net – something that will aid their chances of first-team football.

Additionally, defender Liam Cooper was pictured limping off with an injury in the second half, with manager Monk watching on with concern for his centre back, given that Jansson's yellow card during the game rules him out for the next two fixtures.
