The French midfielder has struggled to have any impact at the League One club.

Charlton Athletic midfielder El-Hadji Ba is training at Dutch top-flight side ADO Den Haag as he hopes to earn a contract at the club.

The news has been confirmed by the Dutch side on their official website. He is already training with the club, despite technically still being a Charlton player, as the Addicks hope to move him on this month.

Charlton fans will however be excused for forgetting Ba was still at the club.

He was signed in June 2015 from Sunderland and is a former French youth international.

But despite that he simply never made the impact in English football and his last appearance for Charlton was the 3-0 defeat to Burnley on the final day of last season and is currently nowhere near the first-team at the Valley.

Considered a bright spark on his arrival in England from Le Havre he has simply failed to meet the high expectations had of him in English football.

The statement from ADO claims that he could be allowed to leave for nothing. Unfortunately nothing best describes his impact with the Addicks.
