Jonathan Calleri arrived at the club on a deal from Uruguayan side Deportivo Maldonado in the summer. But he has failed to make an impact and La Liga side Las Palmas are confident of signing the player.

It is reported by Marca that the La Liga side are set to beat league rivals Sevilla to his signature, as they have a better relationship with the investment group that oversees Calleri’s career.

They will sell Sergio Araujo to make the deal happen, with teams in China keen on the 24-year-old.

West Ham have struggled to find strikers who can do the business for their side this season, with Calleri one of them.

The 23-year-old has played nine times for the Hammers in all competitions this season and scored zero goals so West Ham fans are not likely to be disappointed if he does exit the club this month.
