Everton will take on Premier League rivals Leicester at home in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
“The Blues may have been flattered by the 3-0 scoreline against the Saints earlier in the week but they are clearly improving and did win at the King Power Stadium when these sides met on Boxing Day,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Both sides have key players missing on AFCON duty and the Foxes new signing from Genk Wilfred Ndidi was not signed in time to be eligible for the weekend; if Everton can keep the returning Jamie Vardy quiet they can get past the champions at the first attempt.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Everton to win at 5/6.”
Everton have a better squad that Leicester do, and playing at home will give Ronald Koeman’s side an advantage.
The Toffees should be looking to take the FA Cup seriously and must aim to win the competition.
Leicester are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Claudio Ranieri’s side will welcome the distraction of the FA Cup and will fancy their chances of winning against Everton.
The Foxes faced the Toffees at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day. Leicester lost the Premier League encounter 2-0, and they will be looking for revenge.
