In an intriguing development on Twitter, both Leeds’ official account and Garmston began following each other earlier today.
Every other person who Leeds follow is connected to the club in some way, but there is no obvious link between Garmston and the Whites at this moment in time.
While it could simply be an error, with the January transfer window now open, the action is certainly an interesting one.
Leeds are known to be on the hunt for additions in the January transfer window, as they look to strengthen their promotion bid.
Garmston broke through at West Bromwich Albion, before joining Gillingham back in 2015.
The 22-year-old defender played a key role for the Gills last term, but he has barely featured this time around due to injury.
Garmston is a left-back who is well regarded at Gillingham, and he is blessed with great natural athleticism.
Garmston’s Mother, Sonia, won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 x 100 metre relay at the 1980 Games.
Garmston has been capped at four times at under-21 level for the Republic of Ireland during his career to date.
