A report in the Daily Mail has suggested that Sunderland are considering a move for free agent Momo Sissoko as David Moyes looks to do as much business as he can with his limited budget.
The Mail reports that the Black Cats have no money to spend during this window, but with their situation in the Premier League looking fairly desperate, Moyes appears keen to bolster his ranks by turning to a former target.
A report in the Daily Mirror back in September suggested that Sunderland were interested in signing the 31-year-old, who was also attracting the attention of West Bromwich Albion.
And with the former Liverpool man now available for nothing following a short spell in India with Pune City, it appears that Moyes may be about to offer him a return to the Premier League.

Given the restrictions regarding the budget he has to work with, it surely makes sense for Moyes to pursue a move for the Mali international, even if it is on a short-term basis.
Sunderland are currently in the bottom three so their activity this month could go a long way to deciding their fate, just as it did last season under Sam Allardyce.
