Everton have been linked with Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin in the January transfer window.

Everton midfielder Tom Davies has suggested to The Daily Star that he is not worried about facing competition if the club make signings in the January transfer window.

According to The Daily Star, Everton are interested in signing midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United this month.

Davies, who is only 18 years of age and plays as a defender, has featured six times in the Premier League so far this season.

The teenager is not guaranteed a place in the Toffees’ starting lineup, but if manager Koeman brings in another midfielder, then the youngster could struggle to even come off the substitutes’ bench.

Davies, though, is not worried about facing competition for a place in the Everton team.

“I think any competition is really good for the whole squad,” Davies told The Daily Star. “Whoever they bring in I will just keep doing what I’m doing and hopefully I can stand out in training and in games so I keep my place.”

Davies is a talented and promising young midfielder, and the 18-year-old is only going to improve if he gets chances.

The England Under-19 international should relish the chances he is getting at the moment, and he should continue to train hard.

Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 30 points from 20 matches, 11 points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
