Galatasaray ace Bruma wants to join Spurs – and a replacement has already been lined up.

According to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, Galatasaray have lined up PAOK winger Garry Mendes Rodrigues as a potential replacement for Bruma should he sign for Tottenham.

Bruma, 22, has excelled this season with five goals and five assists in the Turkish Super Lig, and his performances appear to have caught the eye.

The Portuguese wide man, known for his blistering pace, may have hit just one assist and three goals during a season-long loan spell with Real Sociedad last season, but a move to the Premier League could be on the cards.

Turkish newspaper Hurriyet report that Bruma is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur, and has even asked Galatasaray to let him go to White Hart Lane after Spurs submitted a €20m (£17m) bid to sign him.

With the Guinea-Bissau-born wide man asking to join Spurs, Galatasaray have seemingly made a contingency plan,as Hurriyet claim that PAOK winger Garry Mendes Rodrigues is being lined up to replace Bruma.

The 26-year-old has hit 13 goals in 56 games for the Greek side since signing from Elche in 2015, and his performances appear to have attracted the interest of Galatasaray in case Bruma leaves.

Hurriyet’s claims should give Spurs major hope of landing Bruma in 2017, and he would certainly fit the role of being Tottenham’s very own answer to Sadio Mane.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino told the Liverpool Echo earlier this season that he would like to find a speedy winger like Mane to add to his squad, and whilst Georges-Kevin Nkoudou was signed over the summer, Bruma could give Pochettino another pacey option should a deal be completed.
