The West Ham United-owned forward scored for Everton against Southampton in the Premier League on Monday.

Everton fans gave taken to social networking Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Enner Valencia against Southampton on Monday afternoon.

Valencia featured for Everton in the Premier League game against Southampton at Goodison Park.

The 27-year-old forward did not start the match, but the Ecuador international came on as a substitute just after the hour mark.

The former Pachuca man, who joined Everton on a season-long loan deal from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer of 2016, scored the opening goal for the Merseyside outfit in the 73rd minute.

It was Valencia’s first goal in the Premier League for the Toffees this season, having featured in 11 games.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park on Monday afternoon, hosts Everton had 54% of the possession, took 17 shots of which six were on target, and earned 10 corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Southampton had 46% of the possession, took 12 shots of which three were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
