BT Sport presenter Michael Owen before the match

“The final PL game of the Festive period could turn out to be the best with the possibility that the Blues could equal Arsenal’s long-standing record for the number of PL wins on the spin (14) if they win at White Hart Lane,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“This is a game just too close to call although I do expect to see goals in a game which I expect to see played in a white-hot atmosphere.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Both Teams To Score at 13/20.”

Chelsea are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment and are in great form.

The Blues have conceded just 13 goals in the league so far this season, and it is unlikely that they will allow more than two goals at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham also have a mean defence, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side having conceded just 14 goals in 19 Premier League matches so far this campaign.

Chelsea have scored 42 goals in the league so far this season, while Tottenham have found the net 37 times.

One should not be surprised if the game at White Hart Lane ends in a draw.
