Tottenham Hotspur won against Watford in the Premier League at the weekend.

Former Queens Park Rangers forward Bradley Allen praised Tottenham Hotspur duo Kieran Trippier and Kevin Wimmer on BBC Radio London for their performances against Watford at the weekend.

Right-back Trippier and centre-back Wimmer featured for Tottenham in their Premier League game against Watford away from home on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs registered a comfortable 4-1 win to maintain their good run of form in the Premier League.

Former QPR forward Allen was following the match, and he was impressed with the performances of Trippier and Wimmer.

“Trippier and Wimmer coming into the team here have done admirably and really taken their chances,” Allen told BBC Radio London just before the hour mark.

“If you'd have asked Tottenham what they wanted from today before the match they'd have said three points and a comprehensive performance, and that's what they've got,” added Allen after the match. “I think everybody associated with the club will be really looking forward to that Chelsea game on Wednesday.”

England international striker Harry Kane and midfielder Dele Alli scored two goals each for Spurs in the 4-1 win against Watford.

It was quite easy for Tottenham, who will now face London rivals Chelsea at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

One suspects that Spurs are not going to win 4-1 against the Blues, but there is a very good chance that the North London outfit could pick up all three points from the London derby.

It is going to be a very entertaining game of football and could be a classic.
