Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told The Independent that he doesn't know where rumours about interest in Everton's Ross Barkley have come from.
Spurs have hit form recently with five wins in the last seven games, but manager Pochettino may want to bring in some new signings during the January transfer window.
Adding another playmaker has been suggested, and one name who has been heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane is Everton playmaker Ross Barkley.

The Mirror reported last week that Everton were keen on a swap deal involving Barkley and Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko, whilst The Telegraph reported earlier this week that Spurs were lining up a January bid for Barkley.
Barkley, 23, hit eight goals and eight assists last season but has struggled to replicate that form under Ronald Koeman this season, with his strike against Hull City on Friday evening just his third goal of the season.

Barkley is out of contract at the end of next season, and after selling John Stones to Manchester City over the summer, some believe that the Toffees could cash in on Barkley as well, with Spurs a leading candidate to sign him according to reports.
However, Spurs manager Pochettino has been tackled on the situation, and told The Independent that he has no idea where rumours about Barkley have come from.
Pochettino acknowledged that he cannot stop transfer rumours, but added that Tottenham are 'very calm and consistent' with their philosophy when it comes to adding players and developing the squad at White Hart Lane.
“I don't know where that rumour (about Barkley) has come from,” said Pochettino. “It's not from myself or from my staff, that is sure. Then if some people from the club created that rumour, I don't know, or if it's from outside.”
“We are very calm and consistent with our philosophy, and the way we are developing our game. We cannot stop rumours, and we cannot confirm every time whether rumours are true or otherwise,” he added.
